Going for Gold over the Bank Holiday

22nd May 2009

Scarborough’s Market Hall is organising a Bank Holiday treasure hunt where children can search for hidden gold.

The Scarborough event is free of charge and takes place on Saturday 23 May 2009 from noon onwards.

Guest staying at Scarborough hotels and locals alike are invited to search for the hidden treasure, completing the trail before 4pm. Following this there is then the chance to enter the main prize draw.

Every entrant will be given a treasure map and clues in order to go on the gold trail and find the treasure left behind by the pirate. At the end of the trail participants can enter the “Guess where the hidden treasure is” draw for a chance to win the treasure chest of edible treasure!

People wishing to take part in the event are asked to collect an entry form and clues sheet from the Sweet Stall in the centre of the Market Hall from noon onwards tomorrow.

Friends of Scarborough Market’s activities have organised this event in order to raise the profile of Scarborough’s Market Hall.
