Ship sails in for Scarborough Seafest

Scarborough Seafest, which took place this weekend, saw the arrival of a very special guest.

The Grand Turk proved to be one of the highlights of the maritime festival as it sailed through Scarborough harbour.

The famous ship was built in 1996 and has been used in the popular television series Hornblower. As well as being on TV, The Grand Turk played the part of Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory in the 200th anniversary re-enactment of the Battle of Trafalgar.

Following Scarborough Seafest The Grand Turk will return to Whitby harbour, its adopted home.
